[This gray, snowy day finds Ryuhou sitting out on his porch step, a note held in his hands. His eyes scan over the words several times as though he can't believe them.

Finally, he stands, crumpling the paper in his fist, stalking toward the edge of town. He doesn't seem to notice the cold as the wind whips his thin uniform jacket around him.]

I want to... hit something. That's more Kazuma's style, but now I understand why. I'm going to explode if I don't.

[Hijiri happens to look out the window. Ryu is acting strangely... something just does not feel right. He quickly grabs a coat and follows him.]

[Ryuhou notices he's being followed, but doesn't turn around to acknowledge who it might be. He doesn't want to see anyone like this.]

[And keeps following, somehow getting the feeling that Ryu shouldn't be left alone...]

[He walks faster, getting away from the town and other prying eyes, reaching the edge of the forest. He hopes he left his pursuer behind, but doesn't look to check.

Stopping, he stands still, breathing heavily, though not from exertion, before spinning around and punching the closest tree hard enough to splinter the wood, releasing a cry of pain and anger.] Aaaagh!

[Ah! Almost lost Ryu there! Hijiri runs after him then he hears the splintering of wood and the cry of pain and anger. He approaches slowly.]

Ryuhou?

[Breathing heavily, Ryuhou turns his head slightly at the voice.]

Hijiri. You shouldn't be here.

... w-what happened, Ryu?

[He doesn't reply, just holds out the note that was still crumpled in his fist.]

[Takes it and quickly reads through the note, then he just comes closer and hugs Ryuhou tight]

[Ryuhou stands stiffly, his arms hanging by his sides, not returning the hug or welcoming it... though his body is trembling slightly.]

[and hugs him tighter when he feels Ryu trembling]

[shakes his head] But I don't want to leave you like this...

[He's still a moment before he lets his arms wrap around Hijiri, not saying a word.]
