Honestly, I don't know how I put up with you two.

Does anyone else have troubles with their roommates? People should have some consideration for those they live with. It's just common courtesy. Civility.

Yes, I can, though it is not as powerful here as it is back home.

Come to the mountains for a day. It gets boring sitting out here watching for them to return my aunt and practicing the Weirding Way on trees is no substitute for sparring.

[arrives a short time later at the cave] Leto?

Ryuho, my s...[He realizes he was about to drop into Fremen and recalls the standard Galach for...] friend. What's news?

[nods in greeting]

Leto. It's good to see you.

It has been a boring several days. The Malnosso took my aunt and now I must wait up here, hoping to find evidence of her return...

I see. Do you think they will return her close to here?

I will let you know if I hear of her back in the village as well.

More that from this point i'm more likely to see her. Be careful if you do find her...she may not be entirely herself. [Said with a small grin at his double entendre. The baron would probably enjoy Ryuho too much...]

You were a soldier in your homeworld, so i'm assuming you're trained in hand to hand combat...

I will be cautious. [wonders at the grin, but doesn't press further]

[nods] That is correct. Do you want to spar this afternoon?

That would be welcome. [Can we skip to that part?]

I could use the distraction as well.

[a short while later, stands facing Leto in the desert, his jacket draped over a rock nearby] Ready when you are.

[He pulls the waxed robe off. The sandskin covers about half of his torso, providing a living armor.] I trust we won't hit each other harder than half power...

Unless you wish it, I will not use my Alter. I will only fight with my human strength.

[puts his hands up in fighting position]

[He centers himself, entering the concentration of the Weirding Way.]

I wish it, friend! I can't turn my own ability off.

[And with that his foot lashes out towards Ryuhou's shin, a literal blur.]

[barely has time to call his own Alter into being, whips slashing out in an attempt to block the attack, flat sides toward Leto so as not to injure him with the edges]

As you wish, then!

[He leaps, the whips an inch below him, and kicks off of the metal hide of the creature. This isn't meant to be an attack so much as it propels him a couple metres backwards and up the slope, where he crouches, studying it and waiting for its next move. Aegis had something similar...]

[watches him for a moment, gauging his moves, then goes on the offensive, sending Zetsuei zipping toward Leto]

[He watches the creature's feet, timing the right moment. When he does, he is a blur, having moved off to the side. Not as fast as back home, but he can move pretty damn quickly. He could menace its back but he has no idea if that would do anything, so instead he dives after Ryuhou, hoping to overwhelm him before the monster can reorient.]

[He jumps back, hands held out for defense, trying to dodge, but he is not as fast as his Alter and can't move fast enough to get away from Leto. He takes his attack, blocking with his arms, swinging his leg around to try to sweep Leto's from under him, sending Zetsuei's whips toward the other boy in an attempt to bind him]

[Leto meets Ryuho's attack bone on bone, forearms smashing together and shin bocking his sweep.He can't press his advantage, however because the alter's whips always come a moment behind Ryuhou. He's forced to blur backwards and away from them. He dances back into range to seize Ryuho by lapels. Now the creature can't keep from hitting them both with its whips.]
